Joe Robertson, who has built more than 50 bars in Newcastle and London, also conceived a number of exceptional concepts during the 80’s and 90’. Each bar had its own conceptual approach and market segment.
In 1992, Joe Robertson of Newcastle acquired the former successful Tuxedo Junction Nightclub on Market Street, Newcastle. These premises had fallen into disrepair and were rescued and substantially refurbished into the highly successful Bliss Nightclub and Buz Discotheque.
During this period Joe also acquired the premises previously known as La Dolce Vita, formally Newcastle’s most famous nightclub and subsequently traded as Walkers by First Leisure who encountered substantial licensing difficulties.
Joe’s acquisition ensured the premises retained its license and subsequently the nightclub continued to operate for many years.
